Mac laptops….confusing the hell out of me…computer buffs please help!?
I have just started a media degree and uni.
Our course booklet specified we should purchase a mac laptop as it is the software we will use for the next 3 years.
This was fine until the guy who runs the course said we would need the top of the range (very expensive!) one for it to be worth our while.
But right now i dont have £1500+ to spend on a laptop!
Whats wrong with the £600-£800 ones?
I understand the laptops differ in terms of memory hardrive etc etc
However surely they use the same software and will do similar things?
I know we will be usibg them for a little editing/animation/podcasting etc.
I dont want to fail the course yet i just dont have the money…if i buy the cheaper one am i going to lose out…i dont mind it running a little slower and not storing as much.
Please help! What are the major differences?
If you’re doing really high end image and video editing you will want (not need) the nicest thing you can get your hands on.
However, the only real difference will be how long it will take for you to do your editing since the computer will be slower. Do not skimp on hard drive space you will need as much as you can get. You can buy an external hard drive though if you need to. Those are generally cheap.
very funny computer animation ( VERY VERY FUNNY)
