free good animation software?

I like anime studio but thats around 50$ :( and i already used the 30 day trials on all my computers. What kind of softwares can i make good animation in (ie. NOT pivot). I tried blender before but that is so complicated it isnt even funny. I used cinema 4d in school but that is 1000$ software :-/ so anyone know any good free animation software?
