How do I make sure that all internet users can see the flash animation on my website?
I am a new and aspiring web developer and I have just completed a simple website for my friend’s interior design business but some of our friends can’t see the Flash animation while others can. Besides having to have the usual Flash plug-in installed, what else must someone have to view Flash animation successfully? JavaScript? What if their Flash players are older versions and I published my SWF as Flash version 9? Is that the problem? Kindly help me someone. Thanks! =)
Currently, flash player 9 penetration stands at 83.4%, which is not really that high at the moment. And no, if their flash plug-ins are of an older version, they might not be able to see the content specifically for flash player 9.
Perhaps you can publish it so that it is compatible for earlier flash player plug-ins like version 8. After all, if its for marketing purposes, you would want as many people as possible to access the web-site rather than quit out of frustration.
